A Couple of Updates

The day has finally come. We finally put up baby gates in the living room. No longer will we have our tacky chair laying sideways on the floor (which didn't even work anyways). Our new "grown up" baby gates are the bomb. Total lifesavers! I wish we had gotten them sooner!


Mine and Derick's new healthier lifestyle is going really well. We've worked out 4 times this week and I can't lie...I'm so sore, I can barely walk. I guess I didn't realize I was as out of shape as I really am. I love being sore though. It makes me feel like I'm actually working really hard even if I am doing "girl push ups". We're also trying to eat better. My first and only slip up was today. I just had to have one of the new Razz-ber-itas; I'm obsessed with those things. I'm also obsessed with making smoothies. I do the normal fruit smoothie and add either kale or spinach for a little vitamin boost. I'm really proud of how good we are keeping up with our new diet and exercise routine so far.


YOU GUYYYYYYS. It's happening on Sunday! Every other day or so, Derick will say "we're going to the Superbowl" as if it's hitting him all over again. It's pretty cute. Anyway, we are having a little party at our house. It's also going to be a "cheat day" for our diet. We're making hot dogs, potato salad, and baked beans. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
